it's finally cold. i love cold weather. it's so good to run in. except too bad cross country is almost over. i dunno what to say about that. i guess i'm happy that the season's over, but i can't say i'm totally enjoying the fact that it's almost gone. i'm happy that i won't be as busy and whatnot, but those guys are like my family or something. plus knowing that this is my
last season here.. it's really saddening. i dunno.. this cross country season's end only means that alaska is drawing ever closer. i don't know what to think about that either. i mean.. i'm excited about moving. i don't like saying that but i really am. it's gonna be something new, totally different, out of the ordinary. maybe that's just what i need. but man, leaving these people here.. God, i don't want to leave them. i don't think the realization will hit me until after i've left though. i guess we'll see. or i'll see.
anyway, back to what i was originally gonna talk about. not much happened during the week really. i got my report card on thursday. all A's, whatchu know?! i haven't done that since.. 6th grade. i
barely pulled it off though. friggin' science. oh well, i did it. that's all that counts. friday was homecoming, but i didn't go because me and zack and sarah decided to go to the mall and the movies. zack bought a sweatshirt and a track jacket. cuh-lean. then we went to jamba juice and the movies. 'Legend of Zorro' was actually pretty good. after that i went back to zack's house and spent the night there.
MRS. SUSIE (zack's mom) IS THE COOLEST EVER!zack and i got up yesterday morning at like 8 so i could head down to vanden because we had sub-sections at angels camp. the car ride there was so funny. we were listening to dane cook and cracking up like the whole way. the race wasn't all that great though. since osa wasn't there we got 8th place, which barely got us to sections. none of us ran extremely well, and mike didn't run well at all. i dunno what happened. hopefully we do better at the section meet on friday.
which reminds me, my mom's coming home for a few days next weekend! she'll be here for the section meet, so that'll be pretty sweet. then in a couple of weeks (if we don't make it to the state meet. which is highly doubtful right about now), we'll go to houston for thanksgiving and spend it with family and my mom. that should be pretty sweet.. and if i go down, i'll be able to do the downtown turkey trot in houston on thanksgiving morning. should be sweet, but i'm 'bout to get scraped out there. crazy fast runners in texas, you don't even know.
i hope when it rains, it rains
hard. none of that drizzle crap. how random.
chris.
chris ran as fast as he could
..never look back..
